The 100% cotton muslin fabric of the handmade Topkapi Kaftan takes shape in the hands of a meticulous Artisan; later on, it came to life in the form of “BEDDED rosary with beading” on the fingertips of a talented Turkish woman.
This name was given to Topkapı Kaftan because of the Rosary Lace, which resembles small balls, and the region of this lace is Namrun Çamlıyayla.
Rosary lace is made with small ball-like seeds of this flower collected from the Rosary tree at the foothills of Çamlıyayla.
Holes were drilled in these seeds and lined up on the rosary and used in needlework.
Turkish women, under the influence of their environment, expressed their feelings and thoughts with colors and motifs.
